This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to all users of the Zenndra API, website, and related services. It supplements our Terms of Service. Violations may result in throttling, suspension, or permanent termination without refund.
1. Purpose
Zenndra exists to give developers reliable, ethical access to Medium-related data. You must use the Services lawfully, responsibly, and in a way that does not harm Zenndra, Medium, other users, or the public.
2. Permitted use
You may use the Services to:
- Build applications, dashboards, analytics, and integrations that comply with applicable law;
- Access data you are authorized to retrieve through documented API endpoints;
- Cache responses according to our documentation and rate limits;
- Display or process data with appropriate attribution where required by Medium or third-party rights holders.
3. Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- Abuse the API: exceed rate limits, circumvent authentication, share API keys publicly, or use multiple keys to evade restrictions;
- Attack or probe: attempt unauthorized access, DDoS, vulnerability scanning without written permission, or interference with infrastructure;
- Resell or sublicense: offer the API or raw feed access as a standalone product to third parties without a written enterprise agreement;
- Scrape or redistribute at scale: bulk-harvest data to republish, train models, or compete with Zenndra or Medium in violation of applicable terms;
- Violate privacy: collect or expose personal data without lawful basis, or use the API for stalking, harassment, or doxxing;
- Break the law: fraud, malware distribution, spam, intellectual property infringement, or export-control violations;
- Misrepresent: imply endorsement by Zenndra or Medium, or falsify the source of data;
- Automate harm: bots that manipulate engagement, fake accounts, or credential stuffing.
4. Medium and third-party compliance
You are responsible for complying with Medium’s Terms of Service, robots.txt, and copyright law when using data obtained through Zenndra. We do not grant rights to Medium’s trademarks or proprietary content beyond what public API access reasonably permits.
5. Security responsibilities
- Store API keys server-side; never embed secrets in client-side apps or public repositories;
- Use HTTPS for all requests;
- Report vulnerabilities responsibly to security@zenndra.io;
- Notify us of suspected breaches involving your integration.
6. Monitoring and enforcement
We monitor usage patterns, logs, and abuse reports to protect the platform. We may investigate suspected violations, request remediation, throttle traffic, revoke keys, or terminate accounts without prior notice in serious cases.
7. Reporting abuse
To report abuse by another Zenndra customer: abuse@zenndra.io. Include relevant URLs, API key prefixes (never full keys), timestamps, and description.
8. Changes
We may update this AUP. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. Material restrictions may be communicated by email or dashboard notice.
