Catherine Sinclair (abt. 1440 - 1479)

Biography

Catherine Sinclair was the second child born to William Sinclair and Elizabeth Douglas. Her birth was between 1435 and 1451, as William didn't marry Elizabeth until at least 1435, and Elizabeth died in 1451.^[1] An alternate source gives birth year as 1440 (on the Orkney Islands) and year of death as 1479.^[2]

Her marriage to Alexander Stewart was dissolved by the Official of Lothian on March 2, 1377/78.^[3]
