"I don't find a good musket, twelve cartridges, and a
powder flask very useless in the face of an enemy."
But I do have a plastic
powder flask for dispensing black powder made years ago.
Featuring a 5-inch barrel, ivory grip, it has a blued finish and is complete with an original and rare period book casing with gold-embossed and red-leather covering titled "Colt's Pioneer to Civilization & Christianity." Accompanying accessories include a
powder flask, tin of percussion caps, a packet of cartridges, bullet mold and turn screw.

powder flask is part of the flintlock kit while the Possible's bag comes from Track of the Wolf.
RIGHT: The possibles bag includes (upper row, left to right)
powder flask, powder measure, ball pouch and patched balls, tin of caps, in-line capper, (bottom row) candle and matches, ball starter, field cleaning material, and multi-tool.
Interestingly, the spout/measure of the
powder flask that came with my revolver only measures 19 grains--by weight--of the blackpowder.
Among the highlights of the show is the Archer's ring made of gold, diamond and enamel dating 19th century from India, Oliphant or hunting horn dating mid-12th century from Italy, made of ivory and bronze and a
powder flask dating 17th-18th century from India.
The inset photo shows the walnut case they came in, complete with
powder flask, bullet molds, tools and unopened tins of caps.
The precious collections from Africa include a

Powder flask, Japan, Momoyama period (1573-1615), late 16th/early 17th century.

A few rare and unusual pieces always appear at this sale, such as a fine horn
powder flask decorated with a hunting scene that sold for pounds 230 or an Asprey's 1920s leather picnic case that made pounds 80.
