You can even produce 4K time-lapse videos in-camera, although there is no internal
intervalometer for shooting stills.
The box also contains the power supply to keep the camera running for an entire year, an
intervalometer to trigger the shutter at the correct times, insulation, desiccant, and a USB cable to download the images.
(If you intend on using a computer to record your sequences at a remote location, then you'll need to consider the power requirements for your laptop.) We prefer to keep our setup as light as possible, so we use a modified, battery-powered microcontroller or a low-cost off-brand digital
intervalometer.
The jury highlighted such exciting features as HDR (High Dynamic Range)3 and Multiple Exposure4 modes, as well as an
intervalometer and a bulb timer for long exposure capture.
You can combine Kuuvik Capture's ISO, shutter speed or aperture bracketing with the
intervalometer to capture any desired custom sequence.
A[degrees]An antiA[degrees]flicker function helps provide consistent exposure and colour during continuous shooting under certain lighting conditions, while a builtA[degrees]in bulb timer and
intervalometer expands creative opportunities without the need for an additional remote control.
The camera system developed for this project, consisted of a GoPro camera and two remote lights (Underwater Kinetics Light Cannon eLED equipped with custom diffusers) modified for direct control by an
intervalometer linked to the camera.
The CamBuddy comes with a built-in
intervalometer to help you with time-lapse photos.
Less well publicized is the K-3 IPs built-in
intervalometer, which offers the option of shooting multiple images and then stack them automatically within the camera.
Nightscape photographers will love the camera's high-ISO performance, built-in
intervalometer, time-lapse functions, electronic front curtain shutter, and "virtual horizon" settings.
A third method is to employ a more advanced
intervalometer (either a hardware unit such as the TimeLapse+ or software such as GBTimeLapse) that can "bulb ramp." These typically control the camera through its USB port to automatically shift all three exposure factors--shutter speed, aperture, and ISO--in small, smooth steps over a sequence.
