Getting Around Princeton
The Princeton Loop is a free municipal bus service open to everyone. The Loop operates Monday through Saturday excluding the following observed holidays: New Year's Day, MLK Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
The Loop Express (NEW ROUTE) is a fixed route, 20 minutes each way, running between the Dinky (Princeton Rail Station) and the Princeton Shopping Center from 6:00 am to 8:30 pm.
The Loop Local (ORIGINAL ROUTE) is a fixed route serving housing locations, downtown Princeton, and the Princeton Shopping Center. It operates from 7:30 am to 9:00 pm.

Service at the Princeton Station
- New Jersey Transit 605 provides local transportation to and from downtown, north and east neighborhoods, Princeton Shopping Center and beyond.
- Princeton University’s Tiger Transit bus lines give you a head start on your train trip with service on several routes to the station. Free and open to the general public.
- Princeton’s freeB bus service provides transportation to and from the station.
Service at Princeton Junction Train Station
- New Jersey Transit 600 serving US 1 Corridor to Trenton and Plainsboro
- New Jersey Transit 612 with stops in Lawrence and West Windsor
East Windsor Shuttle
The East Windsor Shuttle provides service from East Windsor and Hightstown to and from the Princeton Junction Train Station during the morning and evening rush hours, Monday through Friday excluding holidays.

Bike racks are available at both stations. Covered parking available at the Princeton Station. Bike lockers are available to rent for six months or one year periods at Princeton Junction station

Cross Town Transportation
Crosstown is a door-to-door transportation service for seniors aged sixty-five and up, and people with disabilities who live in the municipality of Princeton. The service is provided by a partnership between CMAP and RideProvide, a program of the Greater Mercer Transportation Management Authority.
