I recently created and ran an algorithm designed to identify Penguins players most likely to be traded or not resigned. I weighted such factors as the players current statistics, career stats, and future projected stats as well as the players age, contract dollars, length of term, and any no movement clauses. Also I assigned values to a player’s demand across the NHL market and GM Kyle Dubas liking of the player as well as player’s liking of said GM andCoach. 

Less weighted values, but still important were the player’s hometown (if North American), his spouse or girlfriend’s hometown, and their favorite foods/restaurants across all NHL cities. I used their favorite color to link to potential future uniforms in other cities. Lastly, I enlisted the input of an AI firm, several NHL analysts and the Brookings Institution. Here are my results:

Players most likely to be traded or not resigned, K. Hayes 100%. Acciari 94%, Mantha 89% , Brazeau 83%, Clifton 74%, Skinner 74%, Rakell 68%, Solovyov 65%, C. Jones 65%, Pickering 60%, 

Players that fall around the Median of 50% include Shea, McGroarty, Silovs, Koivunen, Malkin and Broz. 

All other players fall in the lowest range of less than 33% with Crosby at the lowest at .001%
