PASNAP is a union of dedicated nurses and health professionals, founded in 2000 by caregivers who left other organizations to form their own. We believe our work environment is our patients' care environment, and that the best care happens when we have a strong voice. As an independent union, our leaders live and work in Pennsylvania. We're proud to be the state's fastest-growing union for nurses and health professionals.
PASNAP is launching a new platform to help healthcare workers share their experiences and take part in the conversations shaping the future of healthcare in Pennsylvania.
At PASNAPStories.com, you can respond to prompts in whatever way feels most comfortable for you—record a video, write a short story, or submit a photo for PASNAP to share on social media and in advocacy campaigns.
Right now, we're collecting stories about workplace violence in healthcare. Every day, frontline caregivers face threats, assaults, and unsafe conditions while caring for patients. PASNAP is fighting to pass HB 926, legislation that would establish stronger workplace violence prevention standards and hold hospitals accountable for protecting healthcare workers. Your story can help lawmakers understand what's really happening at the bedside—and why action is urgently needed.
Your story matters. Your voice matters. Click one of the prompts below to get started and help us create safer healthcare workplaces for everyone.
Forming a union and winning a legally binding union contract gives us a strong voice in our workplaces — and that voice results in better care for our patients and better working conditions for ourselves and our coworkers.
PASNAP is the fastest growing union for nurses and health professionals in Pennsylvania. We represent more than 11,000 RNs and health professionals across Pennsylvania.
We use our collective strength to advocate for things like safe staffing, universal access to healthcare, and prevention of harassment and violence against healthcare workers. Our advocacy was instrumental in passing Act 102, Pennsylvania's ban on mandatory overtime for healthcare workers.
