Andrea M. Alvarez, M.Ed., LPC-S, NCC, is a distinguished therapist and a leading expert in obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and related anxiety disorders. With over 20 years of licensure experience, Andrea has established herself as a trusted authority in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), emotional regulation techniques, and evidence-based approaches to mental health treatment. A passionate advocate for advancing the field, Andrea is a sought-after presenter at prestigious conferences, symposiums, and academic institutions. Her presentations reflect her deep commitment to enhancing the understanding and treatment of OCD and training the next generation of therapists. Most recently, she participated in the International OCD Foundation’s 2024 Advanced Forum in Toronto, Canada, where she expanded her expertise in complex OCD cases, treatment resistance, and innovative evidence-based methods. Andrea is also a proud member of the International OCD Foundation. She’s also a dedicated professional member of the TLC Foundation.

Gabbi Funk is a Project Manager at Smoothie King Corporate, where she oversees the opening of new stores across the country. She graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2014 with a degree in Communications. Since 2023, she has served as Chair of the Dallas OCD Awareness Walk and is proud to be a board member of OCD Texas as the President Elect. Having lived with OCD since age seven and receiving a diagnosis at age 21, Gabbi is passionate about sharing her experience to help reduce stigma and increase understanding of the disorder. Through her advocacy work, she is committed to raising awareness of what it is truly like to live with OCD and helping others receive earlier diagnosis and support.

Melissa Fasteau, PsyD, a Licensed Psychologist, specializes in treating OCD, anxiety, BFRBs, and depression. She holds a PsyD from Yeshiva University and completed postdoctoral training at McLean OCD Institute, Houston. Currently, she serves as the Past-President of OCD Texas.

Saharah Shrout, LPC

Saharah Shrout, MA, LPC-S, owns OATH Therapy, focusing on OCD, anxiety, and related disorders. She earned her BA in Psychology and Sociology and an MA in Christian Counseling from Houston Baptist University. With experience since 2003, Saharah trained at The Menninger Clinic OCD Program and was Program Manager at Houston OCD Program. She's currently Secretary of OCD Texas.

Courtney Schmidt

Courtney Schmidt, CPA, is the Controller at Avisto Capital Partners, parent company of PetroLedger Energy Partners, and serves as Treasurer of OCD Texas. She earned both her BBA in Accounting and Management Information Systems and her MS in Accounting from the University of the Incarnate Word. Courtney has been involved with OCD Texas for over five years, including serving as Newsletter Director and speaking at the OCD Texas symposium. Her lived experience with OCD gives her a meaningful connection to OCD Texas' mission and drives her commitment to advocacy and education.

Katy Rothfelder, LPC

Katy Rothfelder, LPC is a clinician specializing in the treatment of anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and related disorders in Austin, Texas. Katy has worked with OCD Texas in a number of roles since 2019, including serving as the Austin ambassador, 3x One Million Steps for OCD Walk Chair, and currently, the volunteer chair. She is passionate about advocacy and research, and has presented and written for a number of local and national nonprofits on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, anxiety, and the treatment of OCD. Prior to entering her graduate degrees in Counseling and Behavior Analysis, Katy worked for several years in the development and marketing of local nonprofits, and provided ABA services to neurodivergent children and their families.

Luke Collier, PsyD

Luke Collier, PsyD (he/him), is a Licensed Psychologist in Texas and Director of Education for OCD Texas. He joined Capital OCD & Anxiety Practice (Austin, TX) in 2021 after completing his doctoral internship at The Ohio State University. Dr. Collier earned his MS and PsyD in Counseling Psychology from Chatham University and specializes in evidence-based treatment for OCD and anxiety disorders. He is passionate about advancing education, training, and advocacy to improve access to effective OCD treatment.

Azul Lozoya Gomez, MA, LPC-A, is a therapist at Capital OCD & Anxiety Practice, where she specializes in evidence-based treatment for OCD, anxiety, and related disorders. She earned her master's degree in Applied Clinical Psychology from Pacific University and is passionate about making effective OCD treatment more accessible through education, advocacy, and community outreach. As Social Media Chair for OCD Texas, Azul is excited to use digital platforms to share resources, promote awareness, and help connect individuals and families with support across Texas.

Thien-An Le, PhD

Thien-An Le (she, her, hers) is a Licensed Psychologist in Austin, Texas. Dr. Le specializes in delivering evidenced-based treatments for OCD, social anxiety, selective mutism, and other anxiety-related disorders across the lifespan. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Florida and completed her residency at Baylor College of Medicine/ Texas Children’s Hospital. Dr. Le is a certified SPACE provider and developed the Capital Courage Camp for Selective Mutism at Capital OCD and Anxiety Practice. She is thrilled to serve as OCD TX's Liaison and also serves on the OCD TX Education Committee and the IOCDF Pediatric OCD Task Force.

Noemi Tsai

Noemi Tsai is a recent high school graduate. She was diagnosed with OCD at the age of thirteen and has been fortunate to have benefited from several treatment programs for OCD. Since going through treatment, she has found a passion for helping kids and young adults who struggle with OCD and related disorders. She is an active advocate for others with OCD, having planned the 2023 and 2025 Dallas OCD Walks, presented at the 2024 OCD Camp, 2025 Annual OCD Conference, and received the 2024 IOCDF Youth Hero Award.
