TV Setup Subject For Board A report on the expected transfer of the Ogden School District's educational television station to state control should be a highlight of a regular school board meeting Tuesday at 5 p.m. in the district board room. Dr. Gerald H. Raat, assistant superintendent, said the takeover of the local district's Channel 9 is expected to be approved during a lengthy meeting of the state school board today in Salt Lake City. It has the strong endorsement! of Dr. Walter Talbot, state superintendent of public instruction, Dr. Raat said. LOCAL DISTRICT The local district is relinquishing the channel and because closed circuit Ralph|because of the financial burden television provides much of the service once obtaired from the broadcast facilities. If the state board agrees to take over the station, facilities lare expected to be moved to Salt Lake City and a transmitting: tower set up on the Oquirrh mountains where much larger coverage can be obtained. The board will also receive recommendations from 1 Dr. William L. Garner, superintendent, on salary agreements worked out with classified personnel in the district. The proposed agreements, Dr. Raat said, follow basically the pattern set in the 6.5 per cent increase approved for teachers last month. END DELAY If they are approved, they will pretty well wrap up negotiations on non-economie matters for the current year, Dr. Raat said. Still being negotiated is a wage agreement with the districts principals. No ficulties are expected, the assistant superintendent said. The agenda also includes a report to. the board on ROTC inspection results • at the district's two high schools, inspections, and routine financial matters. •
