Nashville.TN LEWIS, Margaret Truman Steele Fahnestock Died April 18, 2002 in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born in Port Washington, New York, January 18, 1917; the daughter of Florence Truman Steele and Heath McClung Steele. She lived her early years in Plandome, Long Island, New York. She married John Sheridan Fahnestock (d. 1965), South Seas explorer and former publisher of The Enterprise, a newspaper in southern Maryland. In 1968 she married William Horace Lewis (d,1997); he was former deputy Director of the Port of New Orleans. She lived in Saint Mary's County most of her adult life and recently resided in Nashville, Tennessee. She was active in the St. Mary's Historical Society, the St. Mary's River Yacht Club and the St. Ignatius Society. She is survived by her children, Sally-Heath Fahnestock Lloyd of Scotts-dale, Arizona, Margaret Sheridan Fahnestock Erik-sen of Aston, Pennsylvania and Adam Bruce Falmestock III of Brentwood, Tennessee; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
