About Chevkinite Group
Group of complex and difficult-to-distinguish titanosilicates.
The chevkinite group may be subdivided in members with a monoclinic angle beta of ~100ยฐ, and members with beta ~113ยฐ ("perrierite group"). Unambiguous identification is often only possible using single-crystal diffraction methods (powder diffraction patterns are very similar).
A larger number of synthetic members have been prepared.
