A former Mn mine/group of claims located in the W½E½ sec. 14, T30N, R8W, MDM, 6.6 km (4.1 miles) SSE of Lookout Peak (coordinates of record), on the divide between the East Fork Duncan Creek and Wilson Creek. Discovered 1942. Operated by Kuppinger and Pinkham (100.00%), California (1974). Owned by Glen Murphy (100.00%), California (1974).

Mineralization is an ore body 2.44 meters thick hosted in chert. Manganese ore occurs in a series of beds or lenses of fine-grained quartzite or quartz schist (meta chert) which is enclosed in a quartz-rich quartz-muscovite-biotite schist. These units are cut by 3 to 4 inch thick quartz veins. Manganiferous chert beds and enclosing schists at the main working strike N45 to 70W and dip 40 to 50NE, and are offset by faulting in places. Ore is mainly psilomelane and pyrolusite, with red oxide stains and patches of quartzose material of meta chert. Partially oxidized pink rhodonite is exposed in one outcrop, and is probably the primary mineral. Local rocks include schist of various types and ages, unit 7 (Klamath Mountains).

Workings include surface and underground openings.

Assay data: Ore grade is 10% to 45% Mn.
