Old manganese mine in Miocene sedimentary rocks of the Matese Mountains, located at about 2 km from San Polo Matese to the north of Colle Morotti.

Trenches, pits, and underground workings were excavated over an area of about 20,000 m2. The mine was included in La Foce mining concession, that covered in total a surface area of 1,300 hectares on the municipal territories of Bojano, San Polo Matese, and Campochiaro.

The estraction site is nowadays overgrown, but remnants of the mineralisation are locally observable.
