How to use?
[edit]I've always found this help page singularly useless: it explains what the special page is/does, but doesn't talk at all about how to actually use it. Is there anyone with that knowledge who could add documentation here? 「ディノ奴千?!」☎ Dinoguy1000 18:56, 28 December 2017 (UTC)
- Wikipedia has some documentation at wikipedia:Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Fixing cut-and-paste moves#Using the MergeHistory special page for anyone who wants a non-zero starting point. 「ディノ奴千?!」☎ Dinoguy1000 19:00, 28 December 2017 (UTC)
Limitation
[edit]Last I checked. (about a year ago I guess)
In relation to File: pages "Merge history" will:
- do the "Page history" revisions.
- but not the "File history" revisions.
(ie: unless changed ... one needs to use page-move to do both at the same time for File: pages with files/images)
(Thought about adding this to the main page ... but I see codes I don't know. Ergo: using Talk-page.) MvGulik (talk) 16:51, 16 September 2023 (UTC)
