At Junior Library Guild (JLG), our mission is to connect outstanding books with the readers and educators who need them most. Publishers submitting prepublication titles for consideration play an essential role in helping us reach that goal.
We partner with publishers to identify and select the best new books each month in 70+ categories across all age ranges and interests; books that inspire curiosity, spark imagination, and build a lifelong love of reading.
Title Consideration
To be considered for inclusion in one of the 70+ Gold Standard Selection categories, publishers should submit manuscripts, review copies, or print-ready PDF files, with book club/book fair rights, as early as 4–6 months in advance of the publication date.
Our Selection Team evaluates submissions on a rolling basis and places orders early to align with publisher’s initial print runs. This ensures the timely delivery of newly published titles to our school and public library customers all year long.
