What Are Vindicators and What Do They Do in Minecraft
Vindicators resemble illagers and villagers. Vindicators are known to attack players, villagers, Iron Golems, Wandering Traders, and Snow Golems. They can often be found with their arms together, and when you get near, they'll pull out an axe.
Listed below is how much damage they do with an axe.
- Easy: 7.5 Hearts
- Normal: 13 Hearts
- Hard: 19.5 Hearts
Listed below is how much damage they do without a weapon.
- Easy: 3.5 Hearts
- Normal: 5 Hearts
- Hard: 7.5 Hearts
How to Find Vindicators
Vindicators spawn in a couple of different places in Minecraft. They can spawn in virtually any biome in the Overworld. Listed below are all the areas and conditions Vindicators spawn in.
- Woodland Mansions
- Patrols
- Raids (Wave 2)

All Vindicator Loot
Listed below is all the loot a Vindicator drops when it dies.
- 5 XP orbs when killed by a player or tamed wolf
- 0-1 Emeralds
- Iron Axe (8.5% chance of dropping)
- 1 Ominous Banner (If they're the raid captain on Bedrock)
- 1 Illager Banner (If they're the raid captain on Java)
