All Minecraft Mobs

While playing Minecraft, you’re going to run into many NPCs, or better known as mobs which are short for mobile. Most of the mobs in Minecraft serve a purpose that can range from transportation, materials, XP, or even companionship. Mobs can be broken up into four groups, and it’s all based on the likelihood of them attacking you. There are Passive Mobs that never attack, Neutral Mobs that only attack when provoked, Hostile Mobs that always attack, and Boss Mobs that are meant to be fought in the end game.

Minecraft Mobs Guide

In this Minecraft Mob guide, we will teach you everything you need to know about mobs, such as how to find specific mobs, how to defeat difficult mobs, which mobs you can tame, which mobs can be bred, and quick tips and facts that you may not have known, as well as their available loot drops.

All Passive Mobs

Passive mobs in Minecraft are best known for their harmless nature and will not attack the player, even if they are provoked. Making for great companionship, food, or simply materials, passive mobs are essential for survival, especially if you plan on playing for a long time in your world. In this guide, we'll list every passive mob available and will detail everything from their known spawn locations, how to breed and tame them, what their purpose is, and so much more.

Below you'll find a slideshow and list of all Passive Mobs.

All Neutral Mobs

That could range from companionship, materials, and protection, to even transportation. In these Minecraft guides, we'll teach you everything you need to know about Neutral Mobs, with details such as their spawn locations, how to breed them, what they do, and so much more.

All Hostile Mobs

Unlike all the Passive and Neutral mobs, Hostile Mobs will attack you the second they see you in Minecraft. So, it’s a good rule of thumb to always have a sword and a decent set of armor when you feel like you’re going to run into any of them. Just like any mob, they do have some useful items you can get from them.

Below you'll find a slideshow and list of all Hostile Mobs.
