The Planning & Zoning Division guides the physical development of the city by preserving historic sites, shaping land-use patterns, and supporting thoughtful, sustainable growth.
Core Services
- Implement the City’s General Plan and Zoning Code
- Review development proposals for residential, commercial, and industrial projects
- Review sign proposals and business license applications for zoning compliance
- Process Development Permits, Conditional Use Permits, and other land-use entitlements
- Prepare environmental assessments in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)
