Our work: MusiCares is the leading nonprofit organization supporting all music professionals. Founded by the Recording Academy in 1989 as a U.S. based, independent 501(c)(3) charity, MusiCares provides vital health, financial, recovery and human services to the music community in times of need.
Our impact: Over the past three decades, MusiCares has distributed more than $135 million in critical aid to music people. After the devastating Los Angeles wildfires in 2025, MusiCares directed more than $15 million toward fire relief efforts and reached more than 3,200 music professionals through ongoing relief, recovery and sustained support.
