A woman in her early 20s was assaulted as she ran along a
towpath near to Essex Bridge in Great Haywood at about 7pm last Tuesday.
The woman, believed to be in her 60s, was cycling along the
towpath near the Farncombe Boat House at around 3pm on Sunday (August 18) when her bike slipped down the bank and into the river.
After being nominated by students and judged by union staff, The

But the shutdown had an unforeseen impact on several canalside businesses when the bridge next to The Cube was also closed in late January for several weeks, meaning pedestrians were then being directed away from the
towpath.
Representatives from Kirklees Cycling Campaign and Huddersfield Canal Society were joined by West Yorkshire councillors for the
towpath's official opening on Friday.
Turn right along the
towpath until Wareham's bridge, then go over the fields towards Send Church.

Prosecutor Mark Williams said that in August last year the police received a report a of a naked woman running up and down the
towpath near Old Warwick Road, Leamington.
Jake Culshaw, 25, admits he was present when 16-year-old Lewis was shot in the back with a 12-gauge shotgun on a
towpath by the Leeds-Liverpool Canal, in Eldonian Village, on November 15 last year.
Lewis Dunne was blasted in the back and died from his injuries in hospital after being found by a member of the public on a canal
towpath in Vauxhall, Liverpool on Sunday.
