The government has evolved plan to
regularize contract employees and a committee was constituted to
regularize contract employees of ministries and divisions.
He said the selected companies will have three years to 'fully
regularize' the remaining 70 to 60 percent of their contractual workers .
Bello further noted that the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) also committed to
regularize 300,000 contractual workers.
Provincial Government had announced to
regularize the contract teachers but district education authority could not complete their record till yet therefore neither they have taken steps to
regularize teachers nor have their contract renewed.
According to Bello, the labor department is targeting to come up with another Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) wherein companies in the country will voluntarily
regularize its employees.
They demanded of the Sindh government to
regularize the services of Sindh University test-passed teachers.
No less than the employers themselves are offering to
regularize employees and they're starting with 40 percent of their employees.
Bello also revealed the plan of the members of the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) to
regularize their employees.
He added that companies that were ordered to
regularize workers have agreed to implement the regularization program.
The protesters were carrying banners and placards inscribed with different slogans like
regularize the lower staff, release funds for salaries, and ensure justice for medical staff.
Bello said Jollibee offered to
regularize 3,000 workers a year, however, he said he had asked them to match the initiative of SM Malls to absorb 10,000 employees a year.
BUTUAN CITY -- The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) here is on-track in its drive to
regularize more workers in Northeastern Mindanao or Caraga region by the end of this year, a regional official said Friday.
He expressed confidence that more establishments would
regularize their workers without the need for a DOLE officer to inspect or check on their compliance.
