During germination, orthodox seeds become increasingly sensitive to desiccation, reaching the maximum sensitivity after
radicle protrusion (Bewley and Black, 1994).
Summary of the analysis of variance for the first count (FC), germination (G), electrical conductivity(EC), coleoptile length (CL) and
radicle length (RL).
Similar results regarding ethylene evolution were reported by Takayanagi and Harrington (1971) in rapeseed in which ethylene evolution was strongly coincided with the rupture of the seed coat,
radicle emergence and cotyledon enlargement.
Finally, in every treatment 3 random samples were chosen and
radicle length, plumule length,
radicle to plumule length ratio,
radicle fresh weight, and seedling fresh weight were measured and calculated.
Generally, seed germination entails three distinct phases: (i) imbibition, (ii) lag phase, and (iii)
radicle growth and emergence [19].
It became evident that germinating oil palm interspecific embryos exhibited higher shoot emergence frequencies in comparison to
radicle emergence, independently of the sugar source in the cultivation media (Table 1).
In petri plates, seeds exhibited 2 mm
radicles (length) were counted as germinated.
(2016) reported that the priming of watermelon seeds with water and KN[O.sub.3] produced seedlings with the same shoot length, while hydroprimed seeds resulted in seedlings with greater
radicle length compared to the osmopriming.
18 June 2019 - Oregon, US-based orthopaedic surgical solutions manufacturer Acumed has acquired RASL (Reduction and Association of the Shaphoid and Lunate) System from North Carolina, US-based
Radicle Orthopaedics to address injury to the scapholunate ligament of the wrist, the company said.
M2 EQUITYBITES-June 18, 2019-Acumed Acquires from
Radicle Orthopaedics' RASL Repair System
The first prototype for such a TPM (known as
Radicle) was exhibited during TCG's members' meeting held in Warsaw during the inaugural session of the MARS Subgroup.
The hypocotyl is the part of the plant embryo or seedling that lies between the
radicle and the cotyledons.
From opening setting 5, no significant increase is observed in the percentage of
radicle protrusion and normal seedling.
The project, Real-time dynamic control system for laser welding (
Radicle), received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 programme to enable the design, manufacture and testing of the tool over a four-year period.
