The surface morphology of the as-spun PAN fibers and carbon fibers was evaluated using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), a Sigma VP Carl Zeiss, low voltage (1 kV) for the as-spun fibers and 7 kV for the carbonized fibers.
