On Tuesday we visited the Sandhill Cranes. I was also hoping to see the Tundra Swans I'd heard were there. It was a glorious day seeing hundreds and hundreds of Tundras out in the flooded fields. The day was brisk and cloudy but amazing. I've never seen so many here before. The day turned dark with clouds and I didn't get any great shots but it was a beautiful day. Can't wait to go back.. I love these birds!
we had this nuthatch, a chickadee and some chipmunks eating out of our hands at Hogsback Falls. The cardinal looked like he wanted to also be he never landed on the hand.

Hope you like it!

I have been watching for this to bloom above a neighbor's six foot fence so I could angle it up into the clouds, and today it paid off.

If you were in Melbourne and out about in the evening , you know how it was like, very windy cold and no lights.
Shot with wide open, reasonably high ISO and lower SS and handheld. Sync VR is really worked when needed. ( MFT and longer focal length ) I might dust off my D300s for next winter :-)
Thought this female phainopepla looked rather corporate in her grey business suit and bossy attitude
