am currently working on a 90's CGI 3D Platformer thats based off of
old games like 'Spyro: Year of the dragon' and 'Gex: Enter The Gecko'

for most of the textures used in the game, and i've been looking at some
possible public domain photos here, (the site itself) but am unsure if any of them are a...

I've noticed that quite a few posts to this group contain images that were obviously not taken by the uploader, typically in the form of a meme of some sort. The reason I contribute to this group is because I'm a believer in making genuinely public domain works available for use by artists and designers. By mixing clearly copyrighted garbage into Public Domain groups, it u...

Someone has uploaded thousands of my photos for sale on Alamy.com
Everything in my Flickr account was previously marked public domain. Sadly had to change to non-commercial license - can't stand the potential of anyone paying for something in the public domain.

Hi, why Flickr don't have the CC0 license?
-
In my opinion, 18th/19th Century photos should be marked as public domain. If one uploads such historical photos, they should be marked as such and not marked as "copyright".

Hi is this the Public Domain CC0 1.0 License? Can I use these Images on Facebook and or my Blog without Attribution to the Owner?

Now that I have changed the license of all my pictures to Public Domain (CC0) I wonder if should keep the tag "CC-BY".
People searching for a CC-BY license will be generally happy to find pictures that are CC0 too, won't they? ¨
But then I should tag my CC0 pictures with the rest of Creative Commons related tags (CC-BY-SA, CC-BY-NC, etc).
I don't know. What do yo...

If you do, please post your templates for this here.
Here's the template that I will use from now on (before I didn't include the banner - one of malik ml williams photos' comments gave me the idea.

Almost my entire photostream is public domain. There are a small number that are copyrighted. The copyrighted photos are marked as being copyrighted in the description as well in the comment section for the copyrighted photo. So if the photo has no markings indicating copyright then it's in the public domain.

Dear Madam/Sir,
During a conversation last night about the CC-licenses, a friend and I came up with a license that doesn't exist yet: the Send-Me-A-Copy License. I mean, I don't care what someone does with my photos, even if it's commercial, but I would like to see what someone did with them. The current licenses...

Has anyone of you written to flickr and asked them to allow public domain licensing? If not, why not do it now?
I got a reply saying "I have escalated your email to a senior representative in an effort to obtain the best answer." and got no reply since (3 weeks).
In case you wrote: do you have a copy of your wording? I did write but don't have the text, as it was not...
