Bee Gees - Spirits Having Flown

No issue with this pressing, either quality wise or sound wise. The LP clean, flat, quiet. Artwork looks no more blurry/soft-focused than the original pressing. It just has a look that is very much of its time. The production also has a sound very... See full review

Flat. Quiet. Great sonics. Can't go wrong with this reissue; it's very well done.
The Lynn Morris Band - The Lynn Morris Band
posted a review of The Lynn Morris Band - The Lynn Morris Band. about 1 year ago
Found this years ago in the dollar bin and, if memory serves, had only barely heard of Lynn. Picked it up when I saw that Ronnie McCoury (Del's son) on here. His mandolin picking here is sweet as can be. Also turns out that Marshall Willborn is... See full review

An absolutely gorgeous pressing. Proof positive that 200g behemoths are not required to deliver excellence.

Uploaded pics of the actual LP with this pressing. They look pretty blue in the pics, but in your hand, in the light, it throws more purple than it does blue. Not that that is something which is fatal, but just something to be aware of. When I first... See full review

A beautiful pressing. Super clear, flat, quiet. Very nicely done.
Teresa Stratas, Kurt Weill - The Unknown Kurt Weill
posted a comment on Teresa Stratas, Kurt Weill - The Unknown Kurt Weill. over 6 years ago
Another stunning pressing and record of Weill from Stratas. As the liner notes indicate, this one is special, handpicked by Weill's widow, Lotte Lenya (who delivered Weill songs excellently as well), especially for Stratas. Stratas' performance, and... See full review

A gorgeous pressing. Flat, dead quiet, with Stratas just shining through. She is the absolute master of Weill, and this record makes that clear to any doubters. Just fantastic.

Yes, and well done on the part of Century Media to follow up like that. Many labels/distros no longer care as much. Obviously there will be some who moan and groan that it should never have been allowed to go out, and while that may be, at least these... See full review

Yeah, it's intentional ad my copy is the same way. It was done that way as described by Shelter-Fan. If memory serves correctly, the Duane Allman Anthology I repress is done the same way.

Double check these right away if you pick one up. Some out there are coming with two LP1s, missing the LP2. Not mislabeled LP2, just missing altogether. So don't sleep on it awhile after you receive it.

Not a bad pressing, but has to have one of the roughest edges I've felt in a very long time. Seriously could grate cheese with the edges of these LPs.

There are also mis-pressings on this, with at least one LP of this 2 LP set having the same labels for each side - e.g., my copy has "Side B" labels for both side of LP 1. LP 2 is correct with the C/D.

There is another version of this (on 2xLP, presumably black vinyl) put out under the Craft Recordings label, which appears to have done this pressing for Vinyl Me Please. The catalog number of CR00234 matches my non-Vinyl Me Please copy.
