Another gem that got lost in the landslide of unbelievable music that graced the early 70's. An accomplished musician with a feel-good sound I've listened to many times. This was his best. And yes...it does sound a bit like the Beatles - not a bad thing. This is a quality repress.- I was so happy to see this! I have no idea the provenance on this cut. I have an OG and a Japanese remaster on CD. I have to say this doesn't disappoint! Right off the bat, "With My Face On The Floor" jumps out of the speakers. You can really hear the electric guitar and piano. The rest of the record brings a lot of the same thrills. Granted this is not a high fidelity record. And I always thought the bass way too loud on songs like "No Time No See" but it also wraps around you like a comforting blanket. Integral Records did a great job here on one of my all time favorite albums.
