David Bowie – Tonight

This is an incredible pressing! Huge presence, soundstage and definition. These Maxicut pressings are hard to beat. Absolute bargain in audiophile quality. Find a near mint copy and you are set.

The biggest problem with having a favourite band or artist is it removes a person's ability to judge the music without bias. Some of the reviews on here prove that point.

I don’t understand the hate for this album. I think it’s very listenable and the band sounds tight. Definitely a Modern Love sequel. I am pleasantly surprised that the pressing of this sounds fantastic! I highly recommend it!

This record might be strange in bowie's discography, but its pretty enjoyable. Present release sounds astounding. Sound stage really present

Not Bowie's best album by a long shot, but when 3 really good soundtrack tunes are added, it makes for a very enjoyable disc. Have heard these 1995 remasters dismissed as too loud and compressed compared to the 1999 versions. This is the only one I can compare and yes it's a tad louder but the overall sound is so much more clear and alive without that damned no-noise, I strongly prefer this version.

Recorded during a time of writer's block, and it shows. One all-time classic ("Loving the Alien"), one quite acceptable song ("Blue Jean"), some mediocre versions of Iggy/Bowie collaborations, one abominable duet with Tina Turner, and an even more abominable Beach Boys cover. Dodgy production too.

It's a great album, and feels like a continuous of Let's Dance. I understand that listeners may not be a fan of this time period. I love the reggae sound. So far as sound quality, this is a very dynamic record that can be a little hot at times, but overall good mix.

The Japanese sleeve is noticeably brighter than the original UK.

I recently picked up the 2019 180-gram vinyl reissue of David Bowie’s Tonight from Parlophone at Amoeba Records in Hollywood, and I couldn't be more thrilled. As a long-time fan who originally bought the CD upon its release, I've always been curious about how this album would translate to vinyl.

Wow, did it exceed my expectations! The sound quality is remarkable—clean, with no surface noise, allowing Bowie's unique artistry to shine through. The warmth of the vinyl really brings out the nuances in his performance, enhancing tracks that I’ve loved for years.

Listening on my system was a revelation; the dynamics are richer, and the depth of sound is truly immersive. This reissue has reignited my appreciation for Tonight and made me grateful I finally made the leap to vinyl. If you're a fan of Bowie or just curious about this album, I highly recommend this pressing. It’s a fantastic addition to any collection.
