This was my best album of 2023. It is so so good. 3LP or 3CD for the full experience. Simply love it!

I’ve come across 3 sealed copies of this very same edition (triple vinyl) and each one of them had serious damage on outer sleeve, creased corner and squeezed sides.. torn and trashed album cover from new is not the best, am I the only one with bad luck?

This is my first proper introduction to Christine & The Queens, I'd heard Girlfriend but it wasn't really my cup of tea although totally understood the popular appeal. This album, not only is it exceptionally mastered, but the construct and layering of the instruments and sounds is quite frankly masterful. I bought it based on "Full Of Life" but the entire album is so well done, this is not your every day chart artist, this is true creativity and something quite unique spanning and fusing various genres, I really respect this approach to modern music. There's a lot of classical influences and then you get some D&B breaks over another tune, it's incredibly skillful, and none of it feels out of place.

I hate to say, but this is an epic fail, and I am pointing the finger directly at Mike Dean. Take a look at his credits and what one discovers is a long list of high priced banality. The sound of the CD edition is loud and oft distorted, but the low end does resonate, much.

Christine (Héloïse Letissier) hit the music scene by storm. Accolade, accolade accolade. 2016: number 1 in Vanity Fair's list of people promoting French genius. Next year he was on Forbes' list of most talented people under thirty. Similarly Time listed him twice . . . there is undeniable agreement on Chris’ talent (singing, writing music and lyrics, performance, dance – bringing these skills to address current issues as majestic masterpieces).

I’ve been watching Chris for a while, first catching sight with the Tilted performance, which I admired for its precision. A couple days ago, I watched him sing To Be Honest, on the Graham Norton Show, and was captivated. Again, the singing is exacting, even perfect: strong vocalisation filling a room, merging to whisper-quiet, covering an impressive range of sound and emotion. Beyond the skill, a great passion is present. His face is sparkled with the dampness of exertion, there is a big smile and clear, searching eyes, it is a joy to watch and hear such an artist.

When I read the below Discogs reviews for this 3 x record set, I was a bit deterred from purchasing it due to some mentioning grievances at the production level. However, I liked the TBH song so much I couldn’t resist buying the album.

The vinyl is fantastic on every level.

The sound is clear, the bass is amazing. The album is an epic of six sides, so far I have played four faultlessly pressed sides. Triple gatefolds are often unmanageable, unwieldy things, the art doesn’t always justify them. This single sleeve for the three pieces of vinyl is neat, has a bold cover image and holds its massive three record set simply and beautifully. I dismissed any possible production faults and got down to listening.

I wondered if To Be Honest would be the best track on it. It’s a solid song, but I was kind of stunned by the more epic tracks: Track 10 and then I think it was Big Eye. These tracks did what very special music does, taking you into another world. Interesting that Pachelbel’s adagio is incorporated into a piece, using such an iconic (true) classic could fall cheesy-flat if done wrong, but it totally fits as do many various and seemingly disparate musical references – all making the album sonically exciting. These tracks are magical, the whole album holds together beautifully, I’m sure it will be considered a classic and I look forward to more.

That is my first, cursory play of two thirds of the album. I have yet to listen to the records properly. It is such a surprise album I wanted to write these words of support. For me, Paranoïa, Angels, True Love is a further leap forward, inspired and lovely, A PERSONAL TRIP – I wish him well on his journey, and alongside, I am eagerly looking forward to hearing much more !!!

Whoever is responsible for putting together this packaging has no love for vinyl.
They didn’t even bother to print a proper booklet with lyrics for this amazing concept work. Instead they printed a QR code that leads to an online lyric sheet.
If I am to use my phone to read lyrics I might as well stream the whole thing….

I haven't played this yet, but for an artist who prides her/him/their self on performing art, the presentation of this is very disappointing. 3 records in cheap paper inner sleeves shoved side by side with an info sheet into a single outer sleeve is very poor. This should have been a triple Gatefold with poly lined sleeves and beautiful artwork.

Très belle surprise pour un artiste qui ne m'avait pourtant pas attiré à l'origine. Le son me paraît de bonne qualité. La seule critique que je ferais est le packaging qui n'est pas à la hauteur. J'ai dû ramener mon exemplaire pour le faire échanger car un morceau de vinyle était resté dans la pochette du troisième disque et l'avait abîmé (sans doute une chute de matière lors de la découpe). Album très agréable à l'écoute.

Very nice surprise for an artist who did not originally attract me. Sound quality seems good to me. The only criticism I would make is the packaging which is not up to par. I had to bring back my copy to have it exchanged because a piece of vinyl had remained in the cover of the third disc and had damaged it (probably a fall of material during cutting).
