Auditronics, Inc. was a broadcast equipment firm located in Memphis, Tennessee owned by Welton Jetton. First a manufacturer of audio mixing consoles supplied to recording studios for Stax Records, Record Plant, N.Y.C. and Record Plant, Los Angeles, Ardent Studios and others. In the 1970s through 1990s, Auditronics concentrated primarily on radio mixing consoles.
Auditronics was also the parent company of Memphis record-mastering facility Mastercraft, launched in 1969 and managed by mastering engineer Howard Craft. Before the establishment of Mastercraft, some mastering was done at Auditronics facilities; Stax Lps with the runout etch "A.I.", followed by the mastering engineer's initials (as on Soul Children - Soul Children) are indicative of mastering at Auditronics.

Some Lps cut as late as the mid-70s continued to list Auditronics as the mastering facility, although they often incorrectly credit "Audiotronics", a mis-appellation that stuck with the company until its sale in the 1990s.
