Transatlantic Passenger Lists: First Class
The majority of these transcripts come from manifests submitted to US Immigration in New York. Unlike Cunard's own published lists, details of everyone who came ashore in New York is recorded.
Source Suffix Key:
- Unmarked lists are transcribed directly from Passenger Lists published by Cunard
- Lists marked with ¶ are built from partly transcribed Immigration Records. The information differs from the lists issued on board in that they do not carry any personal titles or decorations. However, both the embarkation port and the US destination are recorded, where this is absent in the published lists
- those marked § are amalgamations of information published within the Cunard Lists and the US Immigration records for Westbound voyages or from British Immigration for trips terminating at Southampton when these have been available
