26 Sections of adventure 

The Buckeye Trail is divided into 26 Sections, each named after a town or landmark found along its route.

Each Section is further divided into smaller Segments, generally around 30 total, with numbered Points marking the beginning of each Segment. This system makes it easy to plan hikes of any length and track your progress along the trail.

As you explore the Section descriptions below, choose a Section to view detailed information and discover the tremendous variety Ohio offers, from scenic river valleys and quiet forests to historic towns and cultural landmarks.

We strongly recommend obtaining a detailed map for the Section(s) you plan to hike. Maps are available in both paper and digital formats through the Buckeye Trail Association (BTA).
