Kingsman: The Red Diamond Kindle & comiXology

4.6 out of 5 stars (113)

Following the global success of blockbuster movie Kingsman: The Golden Circle, we launched the sequel to the hit comic book series by MARK MILLAR & DAVE GIBBONS. KINGSMAN: THE RED DIAMOND is a brand-new Eggsy adventure as he follows in his mentor’s footsteps, but is still rough around the edges for a Kingsman agent. In this awesome six-issue volume, Eggsy embarks on a rescue mission to save Prince Philip and unravel an international terror plot, in a story that starts where James Bond draws the line. ROB WILLIAMS (Suicide Squad) and SIMON FRASER take the helm for this stunning six-issue miniseries. Collects KINGSMAN: THE RED DIAMOND #1-6

    Story: Good. Artwork: Meh.

The story was pretty good, but the artwork was not my cup of tea. There was very little consistency from one panel to the next. You would have a nicely drawn one, followed by something that could've been from a high school art student. Even the main characters faces would look drastically different throughout the storyline, something that is hard to get past at times. Fortunately, the story helped me ignore those issues enough to get me over the finish line.

Good read, but not as exciting/engaging and innovative as the first one.

If you like the Kingsman movies, you will love the continues stores of the Kingsman in comic books.

A good sequel, although nowhere near as good as the first. An impossibly high bar was set there.
