Impossible Princess

This finally getting released on vinyl legitimately is awesome as it’s my fave Kylie album. It may be the only album where she just did what she wanted without worrying about being pop or whatever and it’s really too bad it wasn’t received as deserved back then, as it should’ve been HUGE. Why was Madonna’s Ray Of Light so successful but this wasn’t? Lack of proper marketing! This edition sounds great and looks amazing. Only complaint is I wish they’d have done the limited edition lenticular sleeve as part of this package, like they did with Prince’s Planet Earth vinyl reissue. But then again, this is still a wonderful addition to my collection!

There is no other word to describe this album besides 'masterpiece.' It is dark, moody, contemplative, and captivating. You truly get a glimpse into the mind of pop superstar Kylie Minogue. Every track conveys a distinct emotion. The true genius of Kylie's songwriting talents were revealed through this album. Do yourself a favor and purchase this or stream it on Spotify.

Impossible Princess was a career defining moment when it was released in 1997. The 25th Anniversary edition brings the album to vinyl for the very first time while also reinstating the original album title (it was originally retitled ‘Kylie Minogue’ in most parts of the world upon its release in 1997 after the death of Princess Diana a few months earlier). The 25th Anniversary vinyl edition is available in orange, marbled & violet vinyl as well as a stunning picture disc vinyl.

Fantastic album of some of Kylie's best songs. The vinyl pressing is great, with a vibrant neon disc and great album art. It included a print of the album cover as well. I can't recommend this enough! Some of Kylie's most personal, touching work that still holds up today.

I love having this cd in my collection. I am a follower of this huge international star and this cd is a must. Most of Kylie's cds are pop influenced and catchy tracks that could be played at anywhere. Whether hearing overhead at a local store or dancing at the disco. This one is special. I actually remember the remix of Did It Again from my Saturday night escapades at clubs. Huge club hit!!! I didn't really get interested in her catalog until Can't Get You Outta My Head was release. But after ready somewhere about the darkness and vulnerability of Impossible Princess, I needed to hear it. Time passed and every couple of years I bought a new Kylie tour on dvd. Every concert contains some tracks from Impossible Princess. This cd must be special to Kylie and since I love to find cds that express deeper, meaningful songs from the artist. I finally bought it! The special re-released edition with that remix of Did It Again! What memories that brought back. Kylie always intriguing, sexy, mysterious and lovely.

Loved that this album was finally released for the first time on vinyl! Full of Kylie penned lyrics between the pop Princess years of the late 80’s and early 90’s and before her world dominance with Fever. With impossible Princess Kylie graced us with her alternative era, which didn’t get the recognition it deserved.

Keep repeating "Did It Again" for few days while playing the purple marbled one, now get this orange. Feel so complete 🧡

War dieses Album ein Schritt weg von der Harmlosigkeit der Anfänge, so vermochte es noch keine Identität zu erzeugen, und es war dennoch wegweisend für diese Künstlerin. Der herausragende Track auf Impossible Princess ist Breathe, und mit seinen preziösen Sounds ist dieses Stück nicht nur ein Höhepunkt im Schaffen von Kylie Minogue insgesamt, sondern auch eine der besten Hervorbringungen der Cosmic Disco und ein Vorgriff auf Kylie Minogues Zukunft als dominierende Kraft in diesem Genre, denn es beweist auf beeindruckende Art, was sie offensichtlich am besten kann. I would like too say as a big Kylie Minogue Fan I have always wanted too own this album it has far as Albums go was one of her best works It had a more indie Minogue and a more grown up sexy Kylie as It was on Let’s Get too It from 1991, Word is out Era What Do I have too Do Track One Too far this sultry and Rather Dramatic Dark Side of Kylie is Redeeming herself as the Lyrics go “ Lured into this Den” It’s Bitter and I want this Sweetness again” “ A Taste that I agree with “ Get Me past these perils and too my Eden’’ it is clear Kylie is obviously going for a more grown up sound as her other albums where Great but she has Clearly grown up from the Teenager of 80’s Perm hair and Cheesey Pop I should Be so Lucky Days rating 10/10 , Track Two Cowboy Style This was mostly about Kylie Being in a Relationship with a French Photographer, Stephane Sednaoui this track is one of her most artistic works Kylie has gone more into a Indie mood and I for one prefer this it shows her vocal range she can sing rather well 8/10 Track Three Some Kind of Bliss I just love the video Kylie with her Mini Dress On she jumps out of her car, It did not have great reviews it was bashed by the critics for Example Writing For NME Ben Willmott in November 1997 said it was Super Irritating and Stated Kylie belts out like the Lyrics like she is riding from a autocue I think this is just so beautiful the lyrics words the 90’s Gold one of Her Best Since her SAW Days Femme Fatale Kylie in Her Word is Out Days, Kylie is showing us she can do soft rock in the style of Oasis , Some Kind of Bliss 10/10 Track Four Did It Again It is about Kylie’s relationship with the press it is in response too a British tabloid calling her anorexic It was in 1997 she was dubbed ‘’Kylie Thinogue’’ Minogue was Told about the rumours and wrote the Track You Did It Again , You Did it Again There is all Different sides too her Persona There is Indie Kylie Dance Kylie sex Kylie and Cute “You Did It Again Won’t You Listen too Me “ When I’m telling You it is no Good for You’’ in Australia it peaked at Number Fifteen going into the Top Fifty it went on for Seventeen weeks it was one of her Longest Spanning Singles in the Charts, it was Certified Gold in the Australian Recording Industry Association with Shipments of 35,000 units , Track rating 10/10 one of her best songs, Since The release of 1990’s Better the Devil You Know , Track Five Breathe I just really enjoy this song The video I first saw aged 12 on Ultimate Kylie this is like Kylie in a open Airspace Floating with Spiral Effects with Special Effects generated by CGI It was very successful chart wise it got too Number 14 in the UK Charts on the week end of 21 March 1998 it was the fourth Highest Single that week it lasted four weeks in the charts and was Miss Minogue’s 28th Constructive top forty Single . This has some Hidden Gems like Drunk Kylie Minogue it is different sound for Kylie She is really coming into her own I really think this should be put of any Kylie Fan Music collection or if You love Pop Music or Want too just own one Kylie album buy this plus the remixes are just great , it is totally different just like her 2018 album Golden . Do buy this a classic 90’s Gem .

El vinilo en esta edición color naranja es hermoso. Además llegó antes de la fecha de entrega preestablecida, lo cual me encantó.

Hablando del álbum en sí, es un muy buen vinilo para tener en colección ya que en este álbum Kylie Minogue tuvo una exploración en cuanto a otros estilos, yo lo nombraría un poco más "pop edgie" y es por eso que lo hace ser un álbum único.

Totalmente recomendable.
