One of the Best Shows Ever
Reviewed in Canada on August 8, 2013This show is GREAT. Too bad it is only one season. Do not like their Kenny vs Spenny, but this show is a riot. Not for kids or wimps, sexually graphic but hilarious. Wish they would consider a season two.

I couldn't stop laughing
Reviewed in Canada on May 5, 2011This is the funniest show to ever come out of Canada. Not for everyone, but if its up your alley, it will be your new favourite show. It kinda reminds me of flight of the conchords without the music.

Great potential, poor execution
Reviewed in Canada on April 28, 2011I watched Testees (great name) because of Kenny Hotz and Derek Harvie. Having been a fan of both during Kenny Vs. Spenny and The Tom Green Show respectively, I was automatically interested in Testees. Unfortunately the series failed to live up to its potential.
The premise: Pete and Ron are two best friends/roomates who work for Testico. Their jobs? To test new products to ensure they are safe. Unfortunately for Pete and Ron, inevitably, every week they must endure horrific side effects. For example: A new pheremone spray that has the side effect of making them irrestible to women that they would prefer to resist. A shampoo that causes blindnees. A new robotic vaccuum cleaner that becomes sentient and traps them in their home. A muscle relaxent that paralyzes Pete.
Part of the problem with the show is that, sometimes, it's too gross. Another problem is the lead actors Steve Markle and Jeff Kassel are just not funny enough to pull this off -- despite the presence of the smokin' hot Kim Schraner, who seems to have been written out by the end. And Kenny Hotz was only in a few episodes as well, making its appeal that much less for me.
However, if you're into the concept, give it a shot. It didn't appeal too much to me, maybe it will to you.
2 stars.

Chef Steph5 out of 5 starsLow-Brow Comedy At It's Absolute Best!
Reviewed in the United States on May 15, 2014The only way I can think to describe this show to do it proper justice would be to say that it's almost like live action "South Park". Even though the series only lasted one season, it's quite possibly one of the funniest, most demented things I've ever seen. To give a very brief synopsis, the show is about two best friends, Pete and Ron, who work at Testico, a medical testing lab where the day's assignment often has hilarious side effects. Brilliantly written and brilliantly acted; the Jellybean Omelet episode had me laughing so hard I couldn't breathe. If you're a fan of raunchy comedy and fart jokes, then Testees is definitely for you!

EmoPoe5 out of 5 starsFinally on DVD
Reviewed in the United States on September 20, 2012I loved this show when it was still on! The humor is a little inappropriate for a family tv network, so I imagine that's why it was pulled so early, and way too soon in my opinion. I have been searching everywhere for all of the episodes on dvd, and never found it. Finally, turns out, Amazon got a hold of some. :)
Super excited! Ordered it right away, didn't want to wait until my bad luck kicks in and these disappear, too. If you haven't heard of the show or haven't seen it, go out on a limb and you won't be disappointed.

Zaneco5 out of 5 starsTestees Can't believe they showed this on cable TV
Reviewed in the United States on November 4, 2012I watched every episode when it was on FX and thought it was the funniest show on even better than 'It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia'. The following year they took it off. Well after watching the DVD I can't believe they showed these episods on cable TV. The two 'Testee' slackers work at Testico a bizarre product testing company so you can almost imagine all the shows that can be made with this scenerio and they did, even funnier than you can imagine. If you have a warped sence of humor you'll love this DVD with episodes like 'Gas Pill',One of the boys is pregnant? 'Memory Loss', 'Vac Attack', 'Uber-Glued' where his face gets super glued to the other guys butt cheak. 'Herfume' only attracks ugly women. 'Abstinence Underwear' I Don't want to give any more away. There are 13 episodes. Not meant for kids or the quezy at heart, a must see you won't be able to turn away like a train wreck. It's hilarious for real. Try it you'll die laughing.
