Orfi dethrones ElSherbini in thriller, Asal retains in three
Amina Orfi became the only female to hold the Junior and Senior World titles at the same time as she overcame defending champion Nour ElSherbini in a five game thriller – the longest final since 11 scoring was introduced, with both players having several match ball opportunities.
The men’s final was more onesided as World #1 and top seed Mostafa Asal defended his title with a straight games win over first time finalist Youssef Ibrahim.
