You’re absolutely right — these fake abandoned orders are usually caused by bots or automated crawlers that visit your site. They often add products to the cart while scanning or indexing the website, which WooCommerce then records as a session, and our plugin tracks as abandoned carts.
Disabling the “Start tracking from Cart Page” option (as you’ve done) is the correct step. This ensures that only visitors who actually enter their email address or name will be tracked, preventing most fake carts from being recorded.
At the moment, the plugin doesn’t include a built-in option to block specific email addresses; this option is available in the pro version of this plugin.
Please monitor your site over the next few days after the setting change and let us know if you notice a reduction in fake carts. We’ll be happy to assist further if needed.
Hello, this hasn’t fixed the issue. Can I delete them all to tidy it up and start again?
We are still getting over 10 per day. That hasn’t fixed it. WHat else can we try please as client is very frustrated.

We obviously need to resolve this issue as its a big issue right now.
What other options are there for Abandoned Cart? What else do people do or use to look at Abandoned Carts? Surely everyone else doesn’t have the same issue with over 10-20 of bot dodgy orders left in Cart page ? This gives false records and too much spam records in the events log.

Client is getting very frustrated, still getting the Abandoned cart orders. I’ve changed the setting still getting over 10 per day.
Will I just find another plugin OR can we fix the issue somehow please?
I would rather try to resolve it for the client. I would assume bots don’t do this and maybe dodgy people instead?
How do I move forward to keep the client happy with your plugin please? We just want to see legit abandoned carts NOT all these other ones.

Hi, I sent an email on 27/11/25 and still waiting on a reply. How long will reply take please? Client is getting very frustrated.
We changed the setting that you mentioned and it has helped, BUT there are entries in there that are blank now (so if they are missed opportunities for legit customers it provides no details at all as it is completely blank. No name, no product, no nothing
We really need some help here as I don’t know what else to suggest to the client about the plugin issue with their site.

HI, there, do we have any further updates, the issue is still occuring. What other options do we have as we cannot accurately view the Abandoned Cart due to over 20-30 dodgy ones per day in there ?

Hello, regarding your last email. Is there a way to REDUCE these bots entering the Cart page entirely so we DON’T have the Bot Abandoned carts? Surely there is a Preventative measure out there ?
I have blackhole plugin already & Wordfence.
Is there anything else out there that will reduce them ?
Otherwise does everyone else have the same issue as us and there is NO workaround or NO RESOLUTION at all ?
