Mount Amberfalls is a course in the Air Ride mode of Kirby Air Riders. It is a lengthy tour down an autumnal mountain during sunset. By default, only one lap is required to finish. The course's Top Ride counterpart is Mountain, and its Road Trip counterpart is Mt. Daylight Pass.

Overview[edit]

Track[edit]

The course begins high upon the mountain, as mist lifts to reveal a landscape clothed in snow. Riders follow a path of frosted grass, navigating an S-shaped series of turns before taking another left to cross a bridge. Past this, the snow ends, giving way to a lush ravine of bold autumn hues where two right bends are followed by a left U-turn. After a small breather and an opportunity to admire the view, two more hairpin right turns introduce a brickwork tunnel, itself followed by a wooden track where the path splits. On the left is a circle that launches riders upward like a jump pad, while the right houses a normal ramp.

The true split is in choosing the outside path on top or the underpass below. For most machines and characters, left provides easier access to the upper route, and the right generally leads to the bottom. For those adhering to the top, the road narrows and zigzags left and right. Beneath, the course is more linear and includes a yellow Dash Panel, but a strict left turn must be made to rejoin the other route. Optionally, by tightening the turn even more, riders can enter a small cave with another Dash Panel. After the two paths become one, an onslaught of U-turns in quick succession bookends this segment of the course, guiding riders off a waterfall.

Dropping off the waterfall and landing again is an automatic process, but the center of the waterfall is the quickest path. Riders land upon a wide, straightforward trail that gently curves to the right and back left again. The course continues along an extensive straightaway. On the right-hand side sits a teahouse with two helpings of onigiri available at its side. Further along, a right turn leads to an ornamental bridge, which leads riders to cross a paved road, where they are finally at sea level. On the left, a small beachside facility can be seen. Riders exit the road onto the open beach, where nothing stands between them and the finish line. Two small ramps are placed on the left and right sides. Should any more laps remain, riders will automatically jump through a flurry of fog and wind up at the course's beginning.

Setting and enemies[edit]

Mount Amberfalls is a temperate mountain. The course takes place during sunset, which accentuates the colors of autumn.

The enemies found here are Balloon Bomber, Blade Knight, Bronto Burt, Broom Hatter, Burnbon, Cappy, Cart Waddle Dee, Chilly, Jabjab, Noddy, Plasma Wisp, Sir Kibble, Solite,Rollozer, and Wheelie (who notably appears right before the numerous consecutive U-turns). Bang-Bang, UFO, and Gemaine can appear for riders who fall behind.
