Crossing Wondaria is the fifth Starry Stage of Star-Crossed World in Kirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World, found in Wondaria Remains. It is an alternate version of Welcome to Wondaria which incorporates parts of Invasion at the House of Horrors.

There are five missions to complete in this stage. There are a total of ten Starries to rescue here, when including the mission objectives.

Stage overview[edit]

Crossing Wondaria consists of four distinct areas.

The first area starts just like Welcome to Wondaria, with Kirby landing in a large, circular plaza. Unlike before, the path forward has been destroyed by a meteor, and the area is covered in toxic sludge. To proceed, Kirby must attack a Big Starryflower near the rear of the plaza, which creates a path to the top of the statue overlooking the area. From here, he can hit another Big Starryflower; this creates a path towards the rollercoaster tracks in the background, which lead to the next area.

In the second area, Kirby must traverse broken rollercoaster tracks while avoiding enemies and Twirling Star Rockets. Along the way, he needs to interact with Big Starryflowers to reveal the path forward and safely navigate more toxic sludge. At the end of the area, Kirby must find and use Pipe Mouth to roll along the tracks. After crashing into a wall, he follows another set of tracks into the entrance for the next area.

In the third area, which resembles Invasion at the House of Horrors, Kirby must deal with an enemy ambush consisting of numerous Phanta and Crystal Sir Kibble, before battling a singular Galactal. After emerging victorious, he can head through a door to the next area.

In the fourth area, Kirby faces spinning platforms which are covered in toxic sludge. After freeing a spring guarded by a Balloon-Meister, he can use Spring Mouth to progress, continuing to avoid toxic sludge. Along the way, Kirby must jump over Runaway Parade Cars traveling along rollercoaster tracks. At the end of the area, he must avoid more Twirling Star Rockets to reach a big crystal with three Starries; freeing them ends the stage. If Kirby walks behind the raised platform the Starries are found on, he can find some Starry Coins.

Differences between difficulties[edit]

There do not appear to be any differences in the number of enemies between Spring-Breeze Mode and Wild Mode.

Missions[edit]

Crossing Wondaria has five missions to complete, as follows:

  • "Clear the stage" - Kirby must complete the stage.
  • "Save the hidden Starries" - Kirby must find and rescue the four hidden Starries. Their locations are as follows:
    • Starry 1: This Starry is located at the end of the Pipe Mouth section in the second area, only reached if Kirby hits the Big Starryflower along the way and jumps on the pair of platforms it creates without falling off.
    • Starry 2: This Starry is located near the door at the end of the third area. To reach it, Kirby must interact with a Big Starryflower hidden to the left of the nearby Sir Kibble. This creates two spinning platforms with Gordos on them, which allows him to reach a second Big Starryflower. Attacking this creates a series of platforms which allows Kirby to reach the Starry.
    • Starry 3: This Starry is located near the start of the fourth area. Kirby must hit the first Big Starryflower he sees, and follow the path it creates using Spring Mouth. After climbing on some broken rollercoaster tracks, the Starry can be found to the left.
    • Starry 4: This Starry is located near the end of the fourth area. Kirby must hit a Big Starryflower protected by three Twirling Star Rockets, then follow the path it creates. After htting a second Big Starryflower, he can reach the Starry.
  • "Board the Ferris wheel and make a memory" - In the second area, Kirby must attack the first Big Starryflower he comes across. This creates a platform which allows him to hover to the nearby Ferris wheel cabin to his right.
  • "Destroy 4 animal crystal sculptures" - Kirby must find and destroy four crystal Awoofy sculptures. Their locations are as follows:
    • Sculpture 1: At the far end of the toxic sludge-covered platform in the second area.
    • Sculpture 2: Next to the pair of Twirling Star Rockets in the second area, hidden just off-screen to the right of Kirby.
    • Sculpture 3: At the start of the third area, to the left of a nearby Hot Head.
    • Sculpture 4: At the end of the fourth area, near a Balloon-Meister.
  • "Get all items on the pipe coaster" - Kirby must collect all the items along the path while using Pipe Mouth at the end of the second area.
