Booler[1] is a floating ghost-like enemy which appears in early Kirby games. It resembles a Boo from the Mario franchise, though it does not behave similarly. It flies about in various patterns, either going in straight lines, circles, bounces, or seeking Kirby directly. Booler can appear out of thin air under certain circumstances.
Game appearances[edit]
Kirby's Dream Land[edit]
Booler makes its first appearance in the first Kirby game. It appears in Castle Lololo as well as Mt. Dedede, where it can be seen in a large variety of different flight formations. Booler can be inhaled (which yields 200 points), but is worth 400 points when defeated by other means.
In the Extra Game, Booler is replaced by a similar enemy named Gaspar.
Kirby's Pinball Land[edit]
Booler (known here as Bumpin' Boo[2]) appears as an obstacle on the Kracko Land stage of Kirby's Pinball Land. It flies around a Gordo and is worth 360 points when hit. Hitting them is necessary to call a Warp Star on that floor.
Kirby's Block Ball[edit]
Booler is a common enemy in Kirby's Block Ball. It is worth 300 points when defeated and drops a Flip item.
Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble[edit]
Booler reappears in Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble, appearing in some boss stages. Boolers often appear out of nowhere, holding position or trying to pursue Kirby when provoked. Some Boolers need to be lured away from the areas they guard in order to progress. Other Boolers will only start pursuing Kirby if he is occupying a Jump Hole.

Trivia[edit]
- Its Kirby's Dream Land artwork shows it with a small flame just above the tip of its ghostly tail, despite it not being able to use any fire-based attacks.
