“Makes your Kirby huge. Crush other machines when you drive over them.”
— Kirby Air Ride North American instruction booklet, page 24Big Cake[1] is an item that appears exclusively in the Top Ride mode of Kirby Air Ride. It appears randomly in standard Top Ride races, falling somewhere on the given course. When touched by a racer, that racer will immediately become larger, allowing them to squish their rivals on contact. While big, the racer becomes resistant to some hazards, but is still vulnerable to direct attacks from other items such as the Drill and Buzz Saw. Certain stage hazards, like Ant Doom and the waterfalls in the Water course will also immediately remove the effect. Otherwise, the effect wears off after about 8 seconds.
