Discovery Credits Sir William Ramsay and M. W. Travers at London, UK.
Remarks Colorless, odorless gas obtained from liquid air. Inert toward most other chemicals but reacts with fluorine gas to form xenon fluorides. Oxides, acids and salt known. Little used outside research. Used to fill the bulbs of zenon flashlights.
