All I could see from where I stood
Was three long mountains and a wood;
EDNA ST. VINCENT MILLAY
I turned and looked another way,
And saw three islands in a bay.
For many years, I envied those whose talent got them out. Edna St. Vincent Millay and I grew up a few miles and a century apart. Her immense aptitude for writing, as displayed in the poem, Renascence earned her a scholarship at Vassar. My seeming maladroitness in academics nearly prevented me from graduating middle school (though I’d go on to be inducted in Phi Beta Kappa and graduate college summa cum laude).
Numerous years not so far away were filled with longing, something was missing.
It was not until I came back to where I’d started from and viewed it with new eyes that I began to realize possibilities I’d denied myself in trying to be someone else’s version of content.
Who am I?
Let’s start with “multipotentialite”, which simply means I have a bunch of different skillsets as my interests change over time. This website is dedicated to the more creative pursuits: photography, graphic design, videography, and writing. A portfolio for the works that aren’t well suited to a day job (spoiler alert: neither am I).
I can also be found providing accessible business services at Boundless CE.
