“Grace in the Gray’ This week’s Gospel lesson, the parable of the dishonest manager (Luke 16:1–13), is one of Jesus’ most confusing stories. Who are we supposed to identify with
— the corrupt steward, the wealthy landowner, or the debtors caught in the middle? And why does the master praise shrewdness that looks like dishonesty? This story refuses to give us neat answers. Instead, it reminds us that discipleship is often lived in gray areas, in complicated and messy circumstances. But through it all, God’s grace remains constant — wholly loving, wholly just, wholly good. That grace invites us to act with courage, to lighten burdens, and to trust that even in life’s messiest places, transformation and redemption are possible.
This Week’s Call To Prayer
PRAY THIS PRAYER AS OFTEN AS YOU CAN
Loving God, We join in celebration with sisters and brothers in Christ because we know we are all your Beloved children. Our hearts are full with gratitude and with love. But, O God, so many in our world do not know that You love them, too. Help us be instruments of reassurance and of welcome to any who see themselves as unworthy. May this be always part of our daily prayer. Amen.
The United Methodist Church forms disciples of Jesus Christ who, empowered by the Holy Spirit, love boldly, serve joyfully, and lead courageously in local communities and worldwide connections.

For thousands of years, the space where we prayerfully gather today was under the care of The Wabanaki, meaning People of the Dawn. Their presence in this region is remembered and woven into the history of our community.
In honor of Native American Ministries Sunday, and every day, we are encouraged to participate in repairing the past harm and moving forward with awareness and respect, celebrating and embracing the contributions of the First Americans.
