Using Stathead, I want to see how many games it took for each player to reach 400 home runs. Is this possible?
Have tried looking in the season scrimmage stats table, fantasy stats, and stathead’s season finder tool, but can only seem to find a “touches” category.
Does “opportunities” (rush attempts + targets) exist to search by anywhere?
Over the next several months, will be rolling out upgraded stat tables across all of our sites. We will be adding new features and stats, including awards columns, playoff stats, and much more.
Once a table has been updated, you will see an ✨ Upgraded ✨ marker.
First up on is upgraded Player Per Game Stats table on League Year pages! Here are the new features you'll see there:
League Average Row: To make comparison and analysis even easier, we've added a new row highlighting the league average in a number of stats.
Playoffs Tab: You can now find regular season and playoff player statistics in the same place by switching between these tabs.
Black Ink: When looking at statistics for all players, you can see at a glance who led the league in a variety of categories. We show Black Ink (bolding) for all stats with a leaderboard.
Awards Column: The awards column that you see on player pages is now coming to league and team pages. See at a glance where players finished in MVP voting, who went to the All-Star Game, etc.
Check out the updated table here:
Here is our blog post explaining all the changes we are making across all the sites:

I'm a Tableau Developer, and I enjoy creating dashboards using Sports Reference for fun. I've created a page of just those dashboards:

S-R CFB site has Indiana State's 1982-85 football seasons as missing and requesting data. Indiana State has archived media guides for their seasons on their athletic dept site . Rosters and stats for each of those seasons are available there.

I’ve noticed the fbref page on safari on iPadOS is extremely slow lately, practically unusable.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
We were in the process of launching a project to add coverage of the top tier of Brazilian Women's Soccer, Brasileirão Feminino Série A1, but we then realized we already have it!
It looks like this data was added between February and April of 2022. The data spans from 2019 to 2024.
This is more of a FYI, in case anyone is interested. Enjoy!
I know how to do it in the Baseball Reference site (I type in, say HOU202211050, and it works and it takes me to that box score page), but I'm not sure if that same method works in the other sports Reference sites (I've tried, say 202402110kan, but that didn't work). Need a bit of help figuring this out.
This game was started on November 8, 1978 but the outcome was protested by the Nets. The final 17:50 was replayed on March 23, 1979. However, the teams had a made trade between the date the game started and the date the game was finished. As a result, , and ended up officially participating in this game for both teams.
One of my absolute favorite parts about the Baseball sports-reference site is how exhaustive it is. You're constantly expanding leagues and divisions, adding more historical stats. But with college football, records and stats are limited to what James Howell views as a major school. I certainly respect his knowledge and the amount of research he does, but much of this approach doesn't make any sense. It's arbitrary. Would not a more exhaustive approach make more sense? Having team records not included, even though they played in a major bowl game or was ranked in the AP poll, seems flawed. If the schools count the records and the NCAA recognize the records and every other record keeper counts the record, why not here?
I just want the data for all players who have played at least one game. Maybe I'm missing something, it doesn't seem possible on Reference or Stathead
Any idea on how I can create this search that shows 400 WITH RISP 1930-2020 AGE <23
Thx
Some exciting news that we wanted to share: We have updated the sections of devoted to leagues beyond the majors! In case you didn't know, we have extensive coverage (both historic and current) of many leagues from around the world, including Japan's NPB and Korea's KBO, as well as non-major league American baseball institutions like college and the minors.
This update makes the home pages for these leagues look similar to the Baseball Reference front page!
New front pages are available for:
We're really excited about this, and hope you all enjoy. Please let us know if you have any questions or feedback, as always.
