in Ch. 44 - And When the Rain Clears...

Rain's hair was completely green at one point! I didn't originally think to show it like this here when I was writing the script, funny enough. It's just that I wanted her present day hair to appear as though it was all green at one point, and simply grew out and faded over time, returning to her root color. But I figured if they got married an ambiguous "few months ago", it probably would've been more green at that time. (That's how I remember things when I had green hair, anyway.)
Also, first shot of present(ish) day Lydia. I had a hard time drawing baby mode in the previous chapter, but this was a little easier. (Though, I don't really draw small children often either, so I hope she doesn't just look like a chibi.) XD
Still being coy with Emily's face reveal, though. No real reason for that except that I'd rather save it for when she actually enters the scene. But for all of you concerned about worst-case scenarios, this page does offer the confirmation that she's doing okay. Emily did not die. And she and Rain are still together and happy. ^_^
And because I'm sure someone will ask, the person marrying them is simply some qualified person who works at the courthouse. He's not supposed to be anyone of note.

I was already amused that I had the long hair version of Rain's current look; but somehow knowing that we both dyed it completely and then it grew out is even better!

Though my bewbs are still small, relative to my size. Being 6'3" means breast tissue spreads over more area, and I end up with proportionally smaller breasts.

Why is Emily’s face hidden? Let’s count the reasons:
-She got an alteration (tattoo, piercing etc). This is possible, but sounds too low key to be it
-Emily got LASIC. Again possible, but doesn’t sound too likely
-No reason; Jocelyn is just trolling
-Some other reason I’m not thinking of
Jocelyn is tricky like that ;P
Her depiction reminds me of Heidi in that old anime-style series adaption.
Love that both of them are in white wedding-ish dresses, not to mention Fara and Lydia's cute kinda-matching outfits. Last page Rain was making it out to be a super no big deal so I was half picturing them in jeans.
Also love that Lydia is old enough to know what's going on.
Also, aww, Kellen. It's looking like she's recognizing that Rain got her kid self's dream of being a mom. I hope the rest of this reconciliation goes well.
Also, congrats to Emily on that masters. sorta figured she'd head off for higher education even with Lydia.
It for sure wouldn't need to grow all the way out to fade like this 😅 I just remember the color fading and running all over absolutely everything in my life - my hands and neck, pillowcases, hats, towels, the cat, everything, until it was on everything BUT my hair. Except at the ends, which were frizzly and split so I guess they soaked it up great!
It's something akin to pleasant surprise.
Like, "Oh, is that genuine interest and concern for my wife and child? This is actually pretty promising."
It's about the same. In the last couple chapters when we see her, she's had a ponytail that started a bit higher on her head, so it naturally wouldn't go down as far. So it's possible, it just gave the illusion of looking shorter.
But her hair's roughly about the same (give or take an inch or two of fluctuation due to my inconsistent proportions). XD
