Statement
Despite the announcement of the suspension of new investments in the Russian Federation in March 2022, Schlumberger continues to fulfill contracts and supply technologies for companies engaged in the development of Russian oil and gas fields.
Schlumberger's clients include Russia's Gazprom, Rosneft, and Lukoil, which are among the largest companies in the world oil and gas industry and are also under international sanctions. Over the years, Schlumberger has supplied Russian customers with equipment for the development of continental and shelf deposits.
At the same time, in the first half of 2022, the Russian market amounted to 1.21 billion dollars. or 6% of the turnover of the entire company. During the full-scale invasion, SLB's Russian business expanded, compared to pre-war figures, when Russia's share of Schlumberger's sales was only 5%.
The Russian representative offices of the company continue to work, keeping their teams in the territory of the aggressor state.
In addition, Schlumberger is helping the Russian authorities mobilize to continue the war against Ukraine, facilitating the issuance of conscription notices and banning those who do not want to be drafted to work remotely. Schlumberger's revenue in 2022 was US$ 28.1 billion, an increase of 22.51% compared to 2021.
