The “America the Beautiful�? initiative is a locally led effort to conserve and restore 30% of our lands and waters by 2030. Conserving habitats like wetlands, prairies, forests and coral reefs will not only help wildlife, but bolster climate resilience and access to nature.

Since 2000, the Western U.S. has experienced some of the driest conditions on record. The Southwest, in particular, is going through an unprecedented period of extreme drought, exacerbated by climate change.
