Hello! I'm Rob Larsen and this is my corner of the GitHub universe. If you're here you might want to know a little bit about me, so here's what I've got:
- I'm a long-time open source contributor and maintainer. Currently I'm owner of the @h5bp organization and the maintainer of HTML5-boilerplate, create-HTML5-boilerplate, main.css, Front-end Developer Interview Questions and several other personal projects (most of which are related to collectible comic books.)
- I've written a bunch of books with O'Reilly, Packt and Wiley. I've written about the web in general (The Uncertain Web from O'Reilly) and core web technologies (HTML,CSS, JavaScript and SVG)
- Professionally I have worked for the past half decade in a couple of different technology leadership posititions in financial services. I haven't coded regularly for work since 2019. And while my last job was running a large application development team using Angular/Typescript/Bootstrap/C#/SQL Server to build enterprise web applications, my current role is basically detached from the web. Which means... open source work is the one place where I can still flex my web platform muscles.
- Prior to that I spent a lot time as a consultant and I've worked for some of the biggest brands in the world. That's pretty fun.
