Missed the preorder? You can still save 15% on the complete Demystifying Management program! And if you just want individual courses (instead of the full program) you can buy them each for $195 :)

“She’s so nice” “she means well” “she agrees there’s a problem “ she has POWER. and over and over they depend on not their own mendacity but other folks hubris and ego I wouldn’t like a TRULY evil person !!! So it must be complex

A practical matter: can anyone recommend a lawyer in NYC who can help me with estate/will stuff who would also know about intellectual property stuff (to help me with his part of the band/music stuff)? It’s looking like I’m reaching the limit of my ability to handle this solo.

success is having a direct and intentional positive impact on the lives of Black and Brown people, not a “trickle down” impact that’s a by-product of work that’s meant to impact white people. mostly not achievable on my current career path, but that’s why we have side projects.

Good news: death rates are lower now than March. But that’s partly because health-care workers are savvier & better at treating COVID-19. Those gains are not givens. They’re *contingent on people not burning out*. And people are. 4/

I love ’s work on manager handoffs. I have 8 handoffs (both directions, yay reorg) on my plate right now, and I reference this post regularly. The 1:1:1 works. I get the context I need, or give it, and my reports have said they appreciate the transparency

Hey tech + design folks: I'm gathering qualitative data about how safe you feel sharing ideas at work, what gets in the way of that, and how you want to grow professionally in the next year. Can you take and share this very open-ended survey?

Follow-up to my post on bullet journaling - It’s quarterly performance check-in time at work, and this was by far the easiest one for me yet! I flipped through the last 3 months in my journal and everything I had done was there! Try it yourself:

You can make it easier for people who stutter by: -not interrupting, and calling out people who do -not finishing someone’s sentences for them -having patience + maintaining eye contact, even though it can feel awkward to hear someone stuttering

OK, breaking character for a serious tweet: Lara’s school of thought when it comes to management is a big part of how I’ve been successful in my career. YOU want her training. You need it and just don’t know it yet.

This is your one-time reminder that *every election narrative take this week* will be "The election resoundingly proves that my underlying perspective on the world is the only correct one." And that this would have been the case no matter what happened.
